Boruto, Sarada, and Chōchō watch a movie in the cinema. Boruto found it to be uninteresting, angering Sarada and Chōchō for not getting the romantic aspects of the plot. They want to have him watch the movie again, but Boruto leaves. He tells Konohamaru about it, who think he should train more if he has time to watch movies. Boruto asks him if he watches movies like that, but Konohamaru denies it, saying that he can't lose focus with romance when he wants to be Hokage. They notice a young woman being pursued.  Boruto and Konohamaru keep track of her as she loses her pursuers, and Konohamaru saves her from falling when she misses a step on stairs. Sai explains everyone else is out investigating a bomb threat, so all other work has stopped. Kakashi notices a complaint about Team 25 from a post office and offers to look into it. He dons his Sukea disguise on the way to the post office. There, Hōki berates Hako for not acting according to plan and Renga for trying to carry too many boxes at once, who ends up dropping them.  A post office employee complains about them, saying he'll request other genin if their performance doesn't improve. Renga and Hako blame Hōki while leaving, as they end up doing things their way because they can't understand his orders. Sukea asks to speak with Hōki, and is impressed he remembers him from when he interviewed them as Academy students. Boruto is bummed to get yet another repeat card of his father, and Sarada considers all three immature for being so into it.  Chōchō calls her to try another new dessert, and Boruto considers them the same as well. While comparing new cards, the boys run into Shino, who gets uncomfortable learning Kiba and Akamaru are featured in the cards while he isn't. The three know how strong Shino is, and Boruto wants to make him a card, pointing out the Kaminarimon Company manufactures them. They manage to get an audience with Denki's father, who shows them a list of the next card series, which still has an open spot.
