My Hero Academia Chapter 277

Gran Torino and Eraser Head are left surprised when Deku appears and pushes back Tomura. Deku thinks about what is worse than the worst-case scenario Gran Torino spoke of. He knows that all the Heroes need to go all out against Tomura because he can't use his Quirk right now, but the Near High-Ends are keeping the other Heroes at bay, so they don't have the force to fight him back. In conclusion, Deku says that the "worst-case scenario" they could face is losing his teacher; the teacher who has been looking after him since day one. The statement leaves Eraser Head speechless, as he thought back to the day he told Deku he could never be a Hero with his power. Katsuki unleashes an AP Shot: Auto-Cannon on Tomura, but he disregards them as mere fireworks as they hit him. Deku tries using Blackwhip to hold him back but Tomura pulls him closer while telling Katsuki face-to-face that he isn't interested in him at the moment. Suddenly, Endeavor returns and blast...

The news helicopter hovering above Jaku City reports that nearly a third of the city has been destroyed, and dozens of Heroes police officers are evacuating civilians as fast as they can. As several people watch the news, including All Might and Eri, they report it as a scene reminiscent of Deika City from last time, and the amount of dust and debris is clouding their vision so they can't see what exactly is going on, but they do confirm the Heroes are fighting something. They report this crisis is another large-scale act of terrorism such as the events of Hosu City and Kamino Ward, and question what is going on in the country nowadays, and where they are all heading to now. While still in the air, Tomura brings the communicator up to his face and orders an unknown recipient to kill anyone in sight. Endeavor charges for his sidekick Kido as he forms a loop with his bandages for Endeavor to fly through. It is revealed that Kido's Quirk is called "Traject",...

My Hero Academia Chapter 258

Roughly two months before the Heroes disappear from the streets and a week after the 'hospital tip', Twice meets up with Hawks asking for help with what to say about the 'idea of liberation'. Spinner and Mr. Compress are in meetings everyday, Giran and Dabi don't care, and Himiko Toga is cute, so he turned to him for advice. He also tells him that there are many in his unit that don't trust him since he considers him a puppet handed the position, he felt it would be better if he expressed his own views. It is then revealed that it took a month for Hawks to figure out the different units in the Paranormal Liberation Front and the members and lieutenants in each. First, there's "Black", the tactical force which provides support for the other three boss units led by Twice, "Violet", the raid regiment which supervises the positions of everyone around the country, with one exception, led by Dabi and Geten, "Carmine", the...

All Might shows Izuku the notebook containing the details of all the Quirks used by the previous One For All users, but reveals he couldn't find anything on the 2nd and 3rd users due to the era they existed in and the multifaceted nature of the Quirk. He wondered if they knew they harbored Quirks and could've left something behind but is interrupted by Katsuki, who tells him to get on with the meeting. Izuku tells All Might he can only manifest Blackwhip for a second, so he can't compete with Hanta Sero or Shota Aizawa, but considers it a powerful support-type Quirk. All Might asks him if he made contact with the other users, to which he says no. Katsuki identifies the 5th user as Daigoro Banjo a.k.a. Lariat, and that Blackwhip let him maneuver in the air. Based on that, Katsuki figures that all Quirks within One For All must be "lame", considering the past users 'nobodies'. Izuku tries defending Lariat's strength, but Katsuki points out...

However, Mina Ashido jumps in between them, and uses her own new Super Move: Acidman, which she uses to defend and destroy the robots. The three students proudly announce their success, much to the delight of All Might and the rest of the class. Upon detecting that Kurogiri's brainwaves are being unusual, one of Tartarus's guards tells Naomasa and Gran Torino that Kurogiri is beginning to be agitated. Naomasa quickly asks where the Nomu are manufactured and Tomura Shigaraki's whereabouts. Seeing that Kurogiri is losing control and getting agitated, Shota continues to call him Oboro Shirakumo, trying by all means to make him remember who he was, without deactivating his Erasure, and soon Hizashi joins him. Kurogiri continues to insist that they are mistaken for someone else, that he is Kurogiri, the one who protects Tomura, but Shota and Hizashi continue calling him Oboro Shirakumo and their words finally manage to take effect, and the black fog that forms Kurogiri's head scatters enough to show the shadowed face of Oboro Shirakumo. Oboro tries to call Shota, who asks him to keep fighting. Oboro says "hospital" before the fog hides his face again and Kurogiri falls unconscious. Naoma...

My Hero Academia Chapter 246

In the secret laboratory of Daruma Ujiko, the doctor prepares to perform an operation on Tomura Shigaraki. Before starting, Daruma asks Tomura why he wants more power, considering that his Quirk Decay has become so powerful that he is literally the destruction incarnate. Tomura replies that he had promised him more power if he met his requirements, so now he is willing to claim his due. Responding then with more sincerity, Tomura tells Daruma that, although powerful, his Quirk is not infallible and there is always the risk that the enemy survives his attack, just as Re-Destro did during their fight. In addition, when he used his Quirk at full power, he himself was affected by the Decay, leaving his right arm full of scars, so it is not a power he can use as many times as he wants against the Heroes. Therefore, he wants to use everything he has at his disposal to obliterate the drags All Might left behind. Daruma likes Tomura's proclamations and explains the situation...

Endeavor notices that there is something unusual about Hawks's expression while he is offering him Destro's autobiography. Hawks gives him the book asking him to make sure he reads it well. Seeing how Japan's No. 2 hero recommends the book, Izuku expresses his desire to read it too, thinking he could discover the secret of his speed. Upon hearing him, Hawks gives him, Shoto and Katsuki extra copies that he carried with him. Izuku comments that it’s like he is spreading a gospel, to which Hawks replies that it is a fairly accurate comparison since he had already recommended the book to friends, colleagues and other Heroes. Before leaving, Hawks suggests to Endeavor that he should at least glance over the sections he marked, saying that's his second recommendation in so many words. Izuku and Shoto are impressed despite being only 22, Hawks has a very different perspective than them. To Katsuki, however, Hawks ticks him off. Once Izuku, Shoto, and Katsuk...

My Hero Academia Chapter 244

Izuku, Katsuki and Shoto are chasing after Endeavor through the city for their internship. Izuku remarks that Endeavor is extremely fast, which Shoto recognises as his Flashfire technique. In a business district, Starservant is floating high above the streets between the buildings, proclaiming that the world will soon be cloaked in darkness.  The civilians see him as more of a nuisance than as a threat as they go about their business. Starservant suddenly starts absorbing the glass from the windows of the buildings, gathering the glass into a giant sphere to prepare his super move, Enlightened Fallen King. He launches the glass ball down the street, calling for the root of the darkness to appear. The glass ball does not go far before Endeavor flies into it and shatters it with Flashfire Fist. Endeavor confronts Starservant, who flees. As Endeavor gives chase, Starservant leads him through an alley where he has three minions ready to ambush him. As the minions prepare to ...

For New Year's Eve, the U.A. Staff allows their students to return to their homes for a day, escorted by pro heroes. Izuku returns to his apartment to enjoy the holiday with his mother Inko. Izuku tells her what happened to him during the Joint Training Battle, and how he was helped by Ochaco and Hitoshi, although what Inko hears makes her almost faint from the impression. Once she calms down, Izuku shows her mother a letter that Eri wrote to him, thanking him for having invited her to the school festival.  Although with spelling and grammar mistakes because she is learning to write, Izuku is happy to have received it. All this makes Inko to cry a waterfall of tears of joy. Inko confesses to Izuku that she has always been worried about him, because that despite being born Quirkless, he has always tried to help others, even if he ends up with bruises. That's why she always thought she had to be there to protect him, but seeing him now how much he has matured and progr...

My Hero Academia Chapter 242

Nezu and several U.A. teachers are in the Conference Room discussing the implications that suppose that the students carry out the Hero Work-Studies again so soon. Nezu reports that the Public Safety Commission demand all the students heroes to undergo practical field training.  Midnight deduces from this request that, although there are more heroes than ever, they are understaffed. For everyone it is clear that Commission has many doubts about what happened in Deika City, and they suspect that the League of Villains was involved in the disaster that occurred there, so the Commission surmises some kind of huge imminent crisis, and wants all heroes to be ready for what can happen, although they try to be ambiguous with their requests. Nezu concludes the gathering by clarifying that being prepared is the norm of every hero, and asks teachers to contact the most accomplished heroes. Few days later, Nezu talks to All Might and detective Naomasa through a video call.  ...

In Class 1-A's dorms, Shoto Todoroki and Katsuki Bakugo are being interviewed for their outstanding dynamic during the time when they both took out the wannabe villains. A female reporter asks if Katsuki and Shoto are good friends but the former responds with annoyance towards this question. However, Shoto considers him and Katsuki to be good friends, which aggravates Katsuki in response. Afterward, Katsuki appears irritated that the interview staff cut him out from the interview. Some of his classmates laugh off at the interview only showing Shoto's face instead of Katsuki's. Izuku comments that Katsuki's behavior wasn't very "All-Might-ish" while Momo and Kyoka express pity for the latter. Izuku checks on the daily news and discovers news of Deika City incident, which took about 20 individuals to bring down the city to the brink of destruction. Tenya comments that the damage done to Deika City was greater than that of the Kamino Ward incid...

The public is divided over the actions of the civilians, some applauding them for taking action while others insisting that their actions led to more deaths.  An investigation continues regarding the incident and the probable connection between Detnerat and Shoowaysha. My Hero Academia Chapter 237

After killing his family, Tenko wandered around the city for some time, unsure of what to do and guilt ridden over what he did. Unable to speak, he silently hoped someone would reach out to help him. An older woman briefly stopped to talk to him but, horrified by his appearance, nervously ran off. He thought that perhaps he was being punished for killing his family, and was distressed to find out that his hatred for others hadn't abated in the slightest. After receiving the disembodied hands of his family, All For One and "Daruma Ujiko" stood over Tenko. All For One told him that he had an impulse to destroy that couldn't be controlled. He assured him that the impulse didn't have to be controlled, nor was it necessarily a bad thing. Later, Tenko got into a fight with two street thugs. He went to attack them with his Quirk, but backed down, much to his shame. Later, he threw a tantrum while All For One spoke with him about the incident. All For One t...

The realization that his strongest attack was destroyed leaves him so surprised that he ignores Skeptic's warning that Gigantomachia is coming. Tomura takes the preserved hand of his father out of his pocket, and tells Re-Destro that he is right about him, that he truly exists only to destroy. The commander of the Meta Liberation Army replies that he must die then, because it is impossible for there to be a future without creation, and bulks up even more all so he can destroy him. Tomura only aks him who needs a future. This infuriates Re-Destro who prepares to attack him in rage. Tomura begins to remember when he was Tenko Shimura, a small child of five years living with his parents, maternal grandparents and his older sister Hana, in the house that his father Kotaro Shimura ha...
