Boruto Chapter 48

Image
Isshiki finishes shrinking the remaining pillars at their location. Koji breathes fire at him, but he harmlessly shrinks them as he approaches. Koji grabs him with his hair and tosses him on the ground, but Isshiki shrinks and escapes. Koji tries stabbing him with his hair when Isshiki is close to him, but he evades it as well. Isshiki ponders that with the body he has, he only has two or three days of life left, and praises Amado's planning. He taunts Koji that Amado likely intends for Naruto and Sasuke to defeat him, and that means Koji's role was done the moment he forced Isshiki to resurrect in Jigen's body, lacking the strength to actually kill him. He'll make Koji understand he can't be a heroic ninja tool, being a sacrificial pawn instead. Koji enters Sage Mode. Amado goes over the terms of his asylum agreement, the limitations and obligations imposed on him. Shikamaru requests that he disarms the bomb on Shikadai's neck, and Amado reveals it was a ...

Boruto Chapter 47

Boruto is incredulous that Isshiki would absorb so much fire, and Kawaki explains that he shouldn't be able to, since those are natural flames. Isshiki is combating the flames, but he's shrinking them instead. Amado explains that Sukunahikona can shrink and restore anything but living things, with the exception of the jutsu user, and assures Shikamaru they counted on that happening for them to strike. Jigen's body begins to run out of chakra, so Isshiki can no longer shrink the flames, which begin consuming him. Amado reveals that he was still recovering from the fight against Naruto and Sasuke, which limited how much he could shrink the flames. Naruto wonders if that's Isshiki's end, but Sasuke points out that he still has two Kāma, so he can reincarnate twice. Sasuke also finds it strange, as killing Jigen would make Kawaki Isshiki's sole remaining vessel as he intended. Shikamaru wonders if the entire thing was a setup from the start. Kawaki enters the ...

Boruto Chapter 46

Koji confirms he was created to kill Jigen. Watching the transmission at Konoha, Naruto asks why they're fighting if they're both Kara members. Amado explains they were both pretending to be Kara, their true objective being killing Jigen. As he was severely drained from the fight against Naruto and Sasuke, this is an opportunity they won't have again. Jigen considers Koji to be a mere tool used by Amado, and Koji is ok with it, as that's what he considers shinobi to be. Koji attacks with Fire Release, which Jigen absorbs with Kāma. While doing so, Koji positions himself behind Jigen, drenches him in oil, and places several toads on him, which burn more intensely because of the oil. Kawaki doesn't think it'll make a difference because of the Kāma. Naruto recognises Koji's fighting style. Jigen absorbs the flames and engages in taijutsu against Koji. Koji uses shadow clones, but Jigen evades it and pierces one with his rods. Jigen avoids another shadow c...

Boruto Chapter 37

Image
As Jigen and Naruto prepare to fight, Kawaki gives up and surrenders himself to Jigen in exchange for Jigen not harming Naruto, reasoning that Jigen is far stronger than Delta and could very well kill Naruto or at least nearly do so and showing he had came to care for the Seventh Hokage more than his freedom. Jigen agrees as long as Kawaki remains cooperative but Naruto refuses to, saying that as Hokage, his job is to protect all in the village including Kawaki. Jigen, seeing no compromise, teleports him to a dimension with the intention to leave him stranded.  As he is about to leave, Sasuke appears and kicks Jigen. Jigen recognizes Sasuke from his Rinnegan and comments on how his timing is lousy and he could have left with Naruto unharmed had he appeared later on but Sasuke and Naruto see it as an opportunity to defeat Jigen there, as they can go all-out in the dimension, which Jigen laughs at. When Sarada Uchiha arrives at Naruto's house, all she finds is some rods wit...

Boruto Chapter 36

Image
Boruto's body freezes up while going through the trees, causing him to fall, to his and Mitsuki's confusion. Mitsuki notices the Kāma activating in Boruto's hand. As it has only activated while in battle or around Kawaki, they surmise something's happened to him. At Naruto's home, Kawaki continues searching for the missing vase fragment. Naruto points out it's probably useless, since Hinata cleans everyday, and considers the vase pretty much fixed. Kawaki points out the vase still leaks, and that comments like that is why Boruto yells at him.  Inojin and Shikadai discuss Kawaki's trustworthiness while playing cards, noting how their parents feel about him. Shikadai personally likes that Kawaki is a straight shooter. Sakura buys flowers from Ino, who deduces Sasuke is coming home. Sarada arrives and asks her mother about the seal on her forehead and the Creation Rebirth. Koji continues to spy on Kawaki through his toad's eyes. He finds it s...

Boruto Chapter 35

Kawaki is startled by Kurama's appearance. Kurama introduces itself, and explains it's the one responsible for watching over Kawaki while Naruto sleeps, something the other Kage have requested as well, commenting on the how times have changed to the point such a thing is possible. Kawaki is vaguely familiar with the concept of Tailed Beasts from Kara's documents, but mistakenly believes that Kurama is affiliated to Naruto because of his strength, and allowing him to lead Konohagakure. Kurama corrects Kawaki, explaining Naruto is like Kawaki himself.  It explains it used to be feared and took many lives, including Naruto's parents', and that Naruto was made into a vessel to seal it, causing him to be shunned by others. Kawaki thinks back to Naruto's words about using shadow clones. Kurama continues, adding that Naruto was very bad at jutsu, but that wasn't what filled his heart. Kawaki thinks back to Naruto saying having friends will change his life...

Boruto Chapter 34

Image
Naruto slides down the crater, explaining to Boruto he went through the trouble of not killing Delta so he could capture and interrogate her. Kawaki is startled by this, and urges Naruto to kill her while he still can. Delta's body begins to sound off, and Naruto jumps away, taking the children with him as it explodes. Kawaki points out that's the type of people in Kara. Delta's drone retreats, which Koji witnesses through his toad's eyes. He considers Naruto to be terrifyingly powerful, but still unable to defeat Jigen, and is sure that the key to Jigen's defeat is Boruto's Kāma.  Naruto believes whoever worked on Kawaki before could restore him completely, but he has Katasuke work on him, limiting the repairs to the installation of a high performance hand, which would take a lot of time to prepare. Naruto asks about fitting Kawaki with one of the many prototypes developed for him, and Katasuke explains his creations only respond to the chakra of the ...

Boruto Chapter 33

Image
Naruto leaves Kawaki and Himawari under Boruto's protection. Delta is irate over Kawaki damaging himself, considering his body to be the "Vessel" that belongs to Kara in service of Jigen. She believes Amado will be able to heal him once she takes him back. Boruto is incensed by Delta's treatment of Kawaki. Naruto questions her about Jigen, but she says it's none of his business as he'll be dead soon, so Naruto dares her to try killing him. The two exchange various physical blows. Boruto comments on Naruto's anger.  Delta notices Naruto's shortness of breath, and intends to finish the fight with her eye beams. Naruto asks her if she forgot he'd make her regret laying a finger on the children. He extends his promise to Jigen, vowing to track him down from behind the shadows and make him pay. Delta is puzzled by his anger over Kawaki as he walks towards her. When he gets close enough, she unleashes her eye beams again, but Naruto disperses t...

Boruto Chapter 32

Naruto and Delta trade blows. Delta uses her leg propulsion to gain height and her body modification to attack Naruto with enlarged legs. Naruto destroys her legs with a Lava Release Rasenshuriken, but she quickly regenerates them. Naruto notices it, and intends to land a blow on her torso, but is concerned with hitting her close to her face, which would allow her to absorb his jutsu. Boruto wonders if they should try getting her off-guard, but Kawaki points out that Naruto can't go all out if there's a chance they'll get caught in it.  Boruto tries to argue, but Kawaki stresses that while in the defensive, Naruto is leading Delta's attacks away from them while trying to get an opening himself. Delta comments on Naruto's abilities and regeneration, but when he suggests her surrender, Delta unleashes powerful eye beams, which Naruto is able to avoid. Kawaki explains to Boruto that these beams were designed to be used against opponents with regeneration abil...

Boruto Chapter 31

Image
At Naruto's request, Kawaki confirms Delta's identity as an Inner from Kara. Delta is aware of who Naruto is, and asks him to stand aside so she can deal with Kawaki. Kawaki warns Naruto that all Inners are monsters. Boruto notices Kawaki's change of attitude as a sign of how dangerous they are. Naruto refuses to hand Kawaki over, and Delta decides to kill Naruto. Naruto tells Boruto to protect Himawari, and Kawaki to defend himself. Delta strikes first, trying to kick Naruto, but he dodges her attacks, grabs her by the leg, and slams her on the ground. Naruto uses a Rasengan against her, but Delta absorbs it with her Shinobi-Ware eye.  She attacks Naruto from below by transforming her leg in a way similar to Kawaki's body transformations, but Naruto dodges it as well. Delta confirms she has been extensively modified with scientific ninja tools. She attacks Naruto again, who activates his chakra mode. Naruto blocks her kick, but Delta transforms her leg upon i...

Boruto Chapter 30

Image
Himawari watches as Kawaki struggles to repair her flower vase. Kawaki considers it a waste of time, and Himawari tells him that going out to buy a new vase was enough for her. Boruto listens to them. Through his toad, Koji watches Kawaki, and determines that while Kawaki is under the Hokage's watch, he can't interfere carelessly, but he doesn't really want to, preferring to see how things unfold between Kawaki and Boruto.  Losing her patience, Delta deploys a drone from her back to look for Kawaki, something that doesn't have chakra, so the Yamanaka clan can't sense it. Boruto approaches Kawaki, and offers to help him research their Kāma, though they still exchange insults. Under Naruto's supervision, Boruto and Kawaki both activate their Kāma to fight, while Himawari cheers them both. They fight, and Naruto explains to Himawari about Kawaki's scientific ninja tool body. Satisfied with Kāma's effects on Boruto's physical performance, Kawak...
